Common fireweed, also called " willow herb". This beautiful plant is called fireweed because it is usually the first plant to sprout up after a wildfire. To get the best results from my herbal teas, i boil a medium sized pot of water on the stove, once it comes to a rolling boil, i drop my desired amount of herbs in the water. i turn the heat right down and let it steep for an hour , sometimes longer. The longer you let it steep , the more gets extracted from the plant! Then i strain it through a fine strainer into a large jug and i drink this throughout my day. For those who would prefer to brew a cup at a time, bring your kettle to a boil, pour the hot water into a heatsafe mug, and steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of loose herbal tea. You can use a reusable tea bag, or get those single use ones from amazon. Enjoy!
